Common Uses
G-Tape is applied to the cut line before sawing or routing to prevent tearout on veneered plywood, melamine, laminates, and solid wood. It is also used to protect finished surfaces during transport and installation, and as a masking tape for epoxy and resin pours where clean adhesive removal is critical.
Pro Tips
- Apply G-Tape directly over your cut line before running the saw. The tape supports the veneer fibres as the blade exits, virtually eliminating tearout on the show face.
- For CNC and router table work, apply tape to the top surface of the workpiece before running the program. This is especially effective on veneered panels where the bit exits the face.
