Common Uses

Gorilla Glue is used for woodworking, furniture repair, craft projects, outdoor construction, and general bonding where a strong, durable adhesive is needed. Gorilla Tape is used for heavy-duty repairs, bundling, and temporary fastening where standard duct tape is not strong enough.

Pro Tips

  • Gorilla Original (polyurethane) glue expands 3-4x as it cures -- use sparingly and clamp firmly. Excess squeeze-out should be wiped with a dry cloth before it cures, as cured polyurethane is very difficult to remove.
  • For standard wood-to-wood joints (furniture, cabinets), Gorilla Wood Glue is a better choice than the polyurethane formula. It provides a strong Type II bond with no expansion and easier cleanup.
  • Store Gorilla Glue tightly sealed. Polyurethane glue cures on contact with moisture -- an open bottle will gradually harden from the cap down.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Gorilla Glue should I use for wood?
Use Gorilla Wood Glue for standard wood-to-wood joints. Use Gorilla Original (polyurethane) when bonding wood to non-porous materials (metal, stone, plastic) or when gap-filling properties are needed.
