These hard, woody fruit heads with a cone like appearance are harvested from Evergreen trees and shrubs that grow in Australia and Tasmania. The pods or cones are 3"- 4" in diameter and up to 12 inches long. When turned on a lathe, the pods produce a very smooth surface which takes a beautiful polish. They can be used to make vases, lamps and clock bases, candle holders, paper weights, boxes, sculptures and many other precious objects.
