Pro Tips

• When measuring long distances solo, hook the tape on the end of the board and walk the measurement out -- the blade lock keeps it in position without a second set of hands.
• For squareness checks, measure both diagonals of a rectangle. If they are equal, the frame is square. This is the fastest way to verify deck frames, wall plates, and cabinet carcases.
