Coat the MDO face with a release agent before each pour. Properly maintained MDO forming panels can achieve 10 or more pours before the overlay surface deteriorates.
Can MDO be used for interior applications?
Yes. MDO is used indoors for painted cabinetry, painted furniture, and display applications where a smooth, consistent painted surface is required. Indoor use does not take advantage of MDO's weather resistance, so standard MDF or MDF-faced plywood is often a more cost-effective alternative for purely interior painted applications.
