Meranti Finishing Lumber

Also called White Meranti, Lauan or Philippine Mahogany and is widely used in plywood, veneer, boat building, interior furniture, mouldings and general construction lumber.

Specifications

Colour/Appearance	Yellowish orange to golden yellow-brown
Grain/Texture	Coarse texture with medium to large pores. Sometimes interlocked.
Sizes surfaced 4 sides	1" x 2", 1" x 3",1" x 4", 1" x 5", 1" x 6", 1" x 8", 1" x 10", 1" x 12"
Workability	Easy with carbide-tipped blades due to high silica content. Glues well. Finer sanding required to smooth.
