Also known as Brazilian Cherry (especially for flooring). Used for flooring, furniture, cabinetry, tool handles, shipbuilding, turned objects, and other small items.

Colour/Appearance Orangish brown to a darker reddish brown
Grain/Texture Typically interlocked, with a medium to coarse texture. Good natural luster.
Thickness 5/4, 8/4
Workability Difficult due to density and hardness. Glues, stains, turns, and finishes well.
