Windsor’s format is to focus on customer’s needs; favoring a smaller format that can respond quickly to shifting customer demands and market trends. We’re more than a local building supply company, and our business model is also very different – more akin to a co-op model.
We carry higher quality, responsibly sourced products, and staff our locations with friendly knowledgeable craft/tradespeople that don’t work on commission or quotas.
Our staff is trained to help our customers with every step of their projects – big or small! From the moment you enter the store, to helping carry out your bundles, answering any questions you have and finding the right product that fits your needs – we are the experts you need to know!

Doug has been a member of Windsor since 1988 and a part of Calgary West since 1998. Doug likes camping and quadding.

Laurence has been a Windsor member since 1987 and at Calgary West since 1999. He likes to go to Guatemala to build houses.

Allison has been a Windsor member since 2004 and joined the Calgary West team in 2005. She likes being active and playing sports.

Started with Calgary West in 1991 and worked for 12 years until he ventured out to try his hand at other things. In 2012 he came back and is our outside sales person with years of experience in renovation and house building.

Started with Windsor Plywood in Red Deer in 2013 and joined the Calgary West team in 2014. In his spare time he plays classical guitar and is the captain of a professional paintball team.

Need Odd Sized Doors? No Problem! A lot of older homes have non-standard sized doors, we can source these for you, just ask us. Custom sizing is also available.

The door shop at Windsor can help you out by machining your new door to fit your existing door jamb, easy as 1, 2, 3. Just follow these easy steps and you’ll have your new doors up in no time and save yourself some money too.
1. Take off your existing doors & door hardware and bring them in to Windsor.
2. In Windsor’s Door Shop our carpenter will measure the exact spots for the hinges and door knob using your old door as a template. A little drilling and mortising and you’re on your way!
3. Back home, Install your hinges and door knob in the predrilled spots, hang your door in place and your done! Easy!
Our Door shops can prehang, drill the hole for your door knob and mortise for hinges and installing glass lites in exterior doors. Door shop services vary from location. Please check at your local store for more info.
